Why This Class Matters

Physical and verbal assaults against children are more common than most parents realize:

  • 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually assaulted before age 18 (National Center for Juvenile Justice)
  • 27.8% of students report being bullied during the school year (National Center for Education Statistics)
  • 424,066 entries for missing or abducted children were made to the FBI’s NCIC in a single year

This class isn’t about fear — it’s about prevention, confidence, and smart decision-making taught in a supportive group environment.
